My apologies!

Oh my gosh! I haven't updated here in months! I am so sorry to those of you who follow my blog here. Right now it's probably best if you follow me on my flickr account.

If you haven't heard, Andy and I are now publicly engaged.
Isn't the ring beautiful?! I'm so happy!

Andy and I also adopted a new little kitten. He's an orange tabby.
His name is Pan Garfield. Named after the god, Pan, and the oh so lovable comic cat, Garfield.
His mother abandoned him and his siblings. So my friends rescued them and are nursing them back to health.
We're bringing Pan home in about two months. I'm so excited!

Big announcements!

Hello all! It's been a while since I've updated here, and I apologize for that. Times have gotten extremely busy here. Andrew and I have announced that we plan to get married the first weekend of June 2013, and since then I have been dragged to bridal conventions and expos all around the state. Although I have gotten some wonderful ideas, and some ideas are just too far fetched for our budget, although I loved them.
I have also been set back a week due to health reasons. I had to have another colonoscopy this past week, my doctors thought I had chrons disease, although it turned out to be yet another infection at the junction of my big and little intestines.
I have taken some self portraits, which you can see on my flickr here.
I hope you are all having a wonderful time in your life.
Happy Valentine's Day!
I have a project that I will be announcing soon. I just haven't decided when to announce it. I may announce it tonight on my flickr. So please keep an eye out if you'd like to hear about it!

I have been here many times before

Well hello there, everyone!
I'm so sorry that it's been so long since my last update. I've been busy with family, school and my car blowing up. Yes, that's right, I said blew up. I don't remember if I've mentioned it, but about two weeks ago, Andrew, Kyle, Lauren and I were supposed to go to the New England Aquarium, well on that drive my car broke down not two minutes after we crossed the border into Massachusetts.
It finally snowed here. Today's storm is actually going to leave a good amount of snow on the ground, so it will finally look like winter here. It's only the second storm this winter. I honestly hope it stays that way. I'm a horribly nervous driving in a two wheel drive car during the winter, especially when it's snowing. I've spun out many times in two wheel drive cars during the winter and I just don't trust them anymore to drive during a snow storm.
I've started school again. I had my first class on thursday, and my second class was supposed to be today, but because of the storm, campus was closed. I'm happy about that because I really didn't want to miss my first class of the semester for that class.
I had a difficult time photographing the snow, since everything around where I live is a lighter color, so the snow doesn't really pop out at out. I had to use a leafless tree as a background so you could somewhat see the snow fall. It's the same background in every photo, I apologize for that. I didn't want to move too far out into the snow fall for fear of ruining my camera.

water room

Well everyone, I have officially given my camera her first underwater experience with my EWA marine housing that Andy's mother gave me for Christmas.
She seemed to enjoy herself! I didn't have much trouble with her, except for her buoyancy. I managed to fix that a bit by sucking the extra air out through a little air plug.
I will admit that I have edited these in photoshop, so they look grainy. The water was ridiculously cloudy and yellowish. I wanted to give the water a more appealing color of blues, cyan and teals so I reluctantly gave in to editing them in photoshop even though I absolutely hate to edit except to add my watermark.
Here's the photos that managed to come out more attractive than the rest. Keep in mind that this is my first time doing underwater photography, so they aren't extremely attractive like Sarah Lee's (on flickr) are. I'm a big fan of hers and hope to one day possibly come close to her underwater talents.

I love the reflection area that's in focus of the water

The stars lean down to kiss you.

Well I tried a new type of photography that I've always been interested in. Celestial Earth Rotation photography. (That's obviously not the correct term as I don't know what the correct term actually is.)
I took out my tripod tonight, mounted my camera and set up shop outside, pointed my camera towards the sky and hoped that I got at least one or two shots that were good.
I'll have to try again with a different lens, and when it's warmer out. It's 38 degrees out and slightly windy. So naturally, you never want to stay outside with your camera exposed to that kind of temperature, especially when it's windy.
So here are the few photos that I deemed worthy enough to share. Please be kind, it's my first time trying this.

This one is my favorite, even though it's horribly blurry. I just love the feel of it.

Salt water room

Hello everyone!
Happy New Year! We have all successfully made it to 2012! Without any apocalyptic events!
I am on an adventure of some new photography projects, my main will be underwater photography. As most of you might have started out, my models will be my close friends. I might ask a friend of mine from my studio art courses to be a model as she is currently modeling and has had Jeremy Saffer take modeling photos of her!
As you might be wondering, how can I do underwater photography? Well Andy's mother bought me an EWA Marine underwater camera case for Christmas! I am so excited to start using it!
So I hope you can bear with me on these photo adventures.

On this Merry Christmas day

Andy & I had a great christmas. I didn't get any Christmasy photos sadly, but I did get a bunch of Sadie. I made a great friend with her. She's my newest cuddle buddy! I've been taking a lot of Christmas type photos before Christmas even arrived, so I couldn't think up anything new to do for photos on Christmas. So I just said, hey I don't have that many of Sadie, I'll have her be a model for me!
I got a new bracelet from Tara's Diary that I absolutely love! And I got an EWA Marine underwater case for my camera! So I'll be able to go to the beach more often and in the pool with my camera now! I might start some new photography styles with it, now that I can go underwater!

This one is my favorite portrait of her. She looks so happy to me.

Sadie then decided that she wanted to crawl up onto my hip and leg and lay down on me while I laid down to take a nap. (That's a new hat I'm wearing, it looks odd because of the angle and how I was laying down.) Andy took this photo for me. I wanted a record of how she cuddles with me.
